Yes — it's built for standard 750ml wine bottles, which covers almost everything you'll find on a shelf. The iron arms adjust to the neck, so both slim and wider bottles sit securely. Champagne bottles are the exception: their thicker necks and wired corks need to be opened by hand.

Just a drill and five minutes. Hold it against the wall at chest height, mark the two holes, drill, and screw it in. Wall anchors and screws are included. It works on drywall, wood, brick and tile. Mount it around 130–140cm from the floor — that gives you the best leverage on the pull
